With a team of registered architects and licensed engineers, we are licensed and recognized by the NCRB. Our in-house staff can provide land development programs, building programs, space planning assistance, complete construction documents with design details and specifications, BIM modeling, permitting, construction administration, Owner Representation for real estate development, new buildings and facilities, additions, renovations, and tenant improvement and retrofit opportunities. Our design expertise is recognized both locally and nationally in the areas of retail and commercial developments, elementary and secondary education, manufacturing and distribution centers, commercial buildings, truck plaza’s, maintenance facilities and more!

Michael Thibault started his company 30 years ago by working on the jobs as well as overseeing them. This has fostered Michael’s vast amount of experience in understanding the difference between a quality job and one that just looks good but doesn’t last. He knows the industry and over the years has established a wealth of resources to handle any job at any time. Michael has a favorite quote: “The harder I work, the luckier I get.” Michael established a company that could not only meet those needs, but one that would excel beyond the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the industry.  T-Bone Construction, Inc. offers their clients a business partner who will facilitate the entire construction process; including pre-construction concerns, development of construction budgets and production schedules, management of subcontractors and government entities and the finalization of all projects on the most time and cost-effective schedule as possible. Although he has laid the groundwork for a strong company before the recession, he gives credit to a loyal customer base for helping T-Bone Construction emerge quickly from the downturn. Through his commitment to excellence and a dedication to professionalism, Michael has continued to exceed industry standards by forming strong professional partnerships based on integrity, ingenuity and reliability. These characteristics, along with a deep rooted tie to Colorado has enabled Michael and his company to become one of the most recognized and respected names in the construction industry. Michael also runs a ranch in Colorado Springs where he spends his time with his 2 kids and his wife Cindy.

Joe Opyd - VP

Joseph Opyd

Vice President of Operations

Joseph Opyd is a seasoned and results-driven professional with a distinguished career planning and leading private and government new construction and renovation projects in competitive environments and spearheading the multimillion-dollar construction lifecycle development process from initial bid, project design, and scope of services through master scheduling, budget control, and completion. He brings an expertise and background in multi-state operational management, corporate and construction law, and a diverse history with company growth solutions. Joseph works collaboratively across the company to maximizes the organization and achieving operational excellence. With 20 years of experience in the construction industry Joseph has proficiency in a variety of delivery methods including design-build, contract management, and labor relations. Aside from his hard work for T-Bone Construction Joseph enjoys anything that involves the outdoors; camping, hiking, snowboarding, and more.

Randy Brown

Chief Financial Officer

Randy comes to T-Bone Construction, Inc. with over 35 years of construction accounting experience. With a degree in finance from Colorado State University he began his career as an Accounts Payable Clerk all the way through to the trenches to CFO. Randy is involved in many professional associations and was a two-time President of the Denver Chapter of Construction Financial Management Association. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Pikes Peak Chapter of CFMA and has also chaired on the Budget and Finance Committee for the Associated Builders and Contractors for three years. Randy is a Colorado native and who enjoys restoring vintage campers with his wife and three kids and going out camping in them together as a family.

Michelle Klingenberg - Office Manager

Michelle manages the organization of office operations to ensure effectiveness while maximizing cost efficiencies at all our office locations. She is also responsible for the design, planning, and implementing of Human Resource programs and policies for staffing, compensation, employee relations, and training, as well as the oversight and administration of payroll. With over 20 years’ in the construction industry, her experience and knowledge allow her to effectively manage employees and work with our clients. She brings a liveliness to our office with her light hearted sense of humor and jubilation. She truly makes us all a family. Additionally, Michelle has strengths in the areas of federal contracting, EEO compliance, and multi-state payroll that make her an incredible asset to T-Bone Construction. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys watching and attending Broncos games, spending time with her two boys, taking mountain drives, playing golf, and dining out with friends. Michelle is an exhilarating and joyful piece of the T-Bone family.

Chris has been in construction since before High School, he says “I like the variety that comes with being a Project Manager. To see construction advance from beginning to end is especially rewarding to me.” In his spare time he enjoy’s time with family hiking in the Rocky Mountains, backpacking, camping, snowboarding, tennis and working out.

Hope works to improve our company’s market position and achieve financial growth. With the organization’s strategic long-term goals in mind, Hope helps to build key customer relationships, while identifying new business opportunities. With multiple years of experience in real estate world Hope brings in some helpful knowledge to our team. Hope is a bright, joyful personality around our office, constantly bringing smiles to everyone around her. As the Business Development Associate, it is her job to work with the internal team and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for our company. With an eye for detail, Hope has updated marketing, PR, and digital strategies to better align with the company’s long-term goals. When she is not dedicating her time to work she is a mother who enjoys hiking Colorado’s highest peaks and exploring the great outdoors.
